Education

Educating children is an effective way to pass on messages about sustainability and the water environment.
We have two education advisers and eight study centres in our region. Our centre in Trowbridge celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2009.
During 2009-10 there were 135 school visits and a total of 16,548 children and students attended our education service.
The most common subjects are about water conservation, water and sewage treatment, river studies and wider issues such as the links between saving water and energy.
Our Blashford Lakes education/visitor centre also received a large number of attendees for educational visits and classes, with 3,532 people in 2009-10, including adults.
