For us to be operating sustainably in terms of our employees would mean positively contributing to their health, motivation, skills and knowledge.

Our staff are essential to the running of this business and so we aim to maintain appropriate levels of skills and help realise the potential of individuals to ensure that core business activities continue. We also aim to maintain the highest levels of physical and mental wellbeing of our staff, with the highest possible health and safety standards.

During 2008-9 we have been encouraging and developing our staff through the Wessex Water Academy – a comprehensive training programme targeted at developing vocational skills; Business4Life – a management development scheme; our staff awards and our Aims talk vehicle – a mobile van complete with training facilities.
