Our vision

Our aim is for water supply and consumption to pose a minimal risk to the environment.

What steps are needed?

We believe we need to:

• maintain sustainable levels of abstraction
• maintain sustainable levels of leakage 
• work with customers to help them manage their use of water.

Where are we now?

• We have reviewed and updated the water efficiency strategy to include several new initiatives.
• Last year was the 33rd consecutive year with unrestricted supplies to customers
• Our security of supply index remains at 100%, which means we currently have enough water to meet demand. However, we feel work is needed to make sure we are ready to deal with extreme conditions such as a major problem with one of our key water supply sources
• Our level of leakage at 73.9Ml/d, remains below our target of 74Ml/d.
