We are constantly striving to improve our service and we are pleased that over the last five years we have been independently recognised by the industry regulator Ofwat as one of the most efficient water and wastewater utility companies.

Quality of water

The water supplied by Wessex Water is among the best in Europe. Every year we take over 80,000 samples of drinking water and carry out over a million purity tests. The Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) have confirmed a 99.9% compliance in meeting European and UK standards for drinking water quality - one of the most stringent sets of criteria in the world.
