Make an insurance claim

If you have suffered an injury or experienced damage to your property or vehicle and you think we are responsible, you can make an insurance claim.


Please be aware, we do not admit or deny liability prior to a full investigation.

What information do we need?

To enable us to progress your claim as quickly as possible, please include the following details in your claim:

  • your name and address
  • your contact number and email address
  • the location, date and time of the incident
  • a detailed description of the incident
  • any references which will help our investigation
  • an invoice or three estimates
  • photographs.

When to make a claim through your insurance company

If you believe we are responsible for damage to your property and you have home insurance, please contact your insurance provider who will help your make a claim.

If you believe we are responsible for damage to your vehicle, you should contact your insurance provider who will liaise with our motor insurance provider about your claim.

When to make a claim using our online form

You should make a claim using our online form if you believe Wessex Water is responsible for damage to your property and you do not have home insurance.

You should also make a claim using our online form if you have suffered a slip, trip or fall and you believe Wessex Water is responsible.
