Recreation

Bird watchingWhether you enjoy walking, fishing, birdwatching or sightseeing, Wessex Water's reservoirs provide the perfect setting for a day out.

Located in beautiful rural surroundings, our reservoirs offer a variety of recreational activities including fishing, walking, birdwatching and sailing on some reservoirs.

Keen anglers can enjoy their favourite sport at our fisheries at Clatworthy, Hawkridge and Sutton Bingham.

Durleigh reservoir, just south of Bridgwater, provides coarse anglers with a similar opportunity.

Ornithologists can enjoy their hobby in scenery that is second to none and home to a range of ducks, waders, wildfowl and woodland species while walkers can enjoy a variety of short or long walks.

Our reservoirs and lakes are home to a number of different habitats and details of all of these and essential information about the use of these sites can be found on this website.

The reservoirs are for the benefit of all so please remember to respect the code of conduct at the reservoir and co-operate with the ranger in charge.

If you would like any further information, please contact either Wessex Water customer services on 0845 600 4 600 or contact the appropriate ranger.

We hope that you will enjoy a visit to one of Wessex Water's reservoirs.
