Job description:

Geneco wessex careers logo GENeco is an award-winning recycling and renewable energy company, committed to offering our customers innovative, cost effective and sustainable solutions. We were created by Wessex Water in 2008 to help our parent company become more sustainable, and our truly ground breaking and driven approach led us to achieving carbon neutrality and zero waste to landfill status in the first three years in operation. This remarkable progress has continued, through innovations such as our gas to grid facility. In 2015 we were named as a guardian sustainable business of the year.

As a business, we treat over 700,000 tonnes of varied waste per annum, transforming this into commercial products and renewably sourced gas and electricity, which powers many thousands of local homes. We are consistently setting new standards within the industry and utilising ground-breaking technology to provide the best value sustainable solutions to a diverse customer base. Whether it was the VW Beetle powered by human waste or establishing a co-located food waste and sewerage sludge recycling facility, GENeco was there first.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join us reporting to the regulations and systems manager. You will be using and developing your communication skills to establish relationships with colleagues across the business, as you support them in the maintenance and development of documented information. You will also be progressing your organisation skills to help capture, record, promote, track and close actions that have been identified to improve the way we work. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of audit programmes, by scheduling time in auditor diaries by helping with report writing, gaining auditee approval and logging actions. Computer skills will be required to maintain the integrity of the management system through documenting, formatting and editing information to a defined standard, across a range of programmes.

To do all of this, you will be adaptable and flexible with a proactive and positive approach to your work, with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently. As well as this, you will need to have GCSEs in maths and English at grade C or above, be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, have strong organisation skills and be an excellent communicator.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
* Defined contribution pension scheme.
* 24 days holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
* Childcare vouchers.
* Cycle2Work scheme.
* Discounts and cashback scheme from more than 1,200 high street and online suppliers.

This role is available for flexible working including job share if a suitable job share partner can be found.
