Water is one of the world's natural resources and it is our job to make it clean and safe to drink.
Our complex network of water mains ensures water is on tap 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day.
At our water treatment works we have advanced processes to purify water and deal with any contamination risks.
We have not imposed any restrictions on water use since 1976.
This is despite the fact we now use 70% more than we did 30 years ago and have to meet the needs of up to 300,000 additional holiday visitors a day during the summer months.
By reducing leakage, managing the demand for water and promoting water conservation we are committed to meeting future demands for water without restrictions.
