Telling us about a bereavement

We are sorry you have experienced a loss. Our team is trained to support people who have suffered a bereavement.

To enable you to deal with your loved one or friend’s financial affairs it would be helpful if you have the following information when you contact us:

  • details of the deceased including their address and the date of their death
  • the Wessex Water customer number (if available)
  • whether the property was owned or rented
  • an update-to-date water meter reading (if available)
  • the name, address and telephone number of the person or executor who is legally looking after the affairs of the deceased
  • whether water is still required at the property
