  • Looking after your personal data

Protecting the information of customers is one of our top priorities. We want you to be confident that your personal data is safe and secure with us, and to understand how we use it to offer you a better customer experience.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is new European Union legislation that will become effective on 25 May 2018. These changes to data protection laws mean that you now have even more control over your personal data.

Robust security has always been part of what we do, but the new rules go further in protecting the personal data we hold and ensuring action is taken if something goes wrong.

We embrace the changes brought about by the GDPR and are fully committed to protecting your personal data.

What rights do you have about the data we hold on you?

    As a customer you can:

    • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold on you.
    • Object to us processing data about you if you are concerned we’re not taking your rights into account.
    • Ask us to explain if we use any processes that automatically make a decision to do with you without human involvement.
    • Ask us to stop sending marketing to you.
    • Ask us to correct any personal data belonging to you.
    • Ask us to erase your data or ‘forget’ you (this will only apply if we don’t have a legitimate reason to keep using it).
    • Ask us to provide information to you electronically or in a form that can be fed into a computer system used by another company.
