Only a few graduate roles are available each year at Wessex Water and they are highly sought after.

These exciting opportunities are usually full-time roles - some permanent and others fixed term - and offer competitive salaries.

Roles are available across our business and vary each year - they can include positions in construction design, environmental science or mechanical engineering.

Each role gives you an opportunity to make a difference in an industry that provides vital services to millions of people every day.

You will find these roles advertised in current vacancies as well as on a wide number of university careers portals.

We are just as interested in your employability and soft skills as we are in your technical excellence.

And in our experience graduates who have taken part in an industrial placement often have a wider skill set and the attributes we are seeking.

When employed we will support you to get the best out of your new role by offering:

  • early careers adviser - our adviser will offer you advice, guidance and support when you start work with us
  • professional registration - we will support you in joining one of the institutions which offer designated mentor and training plans including accredited programmes from both IET and IMechE
  • Business4Life - you can develop your knowledge and skills if selected for this 15-month team-building programme which sets challenging business targets aimed at raising funds for the charity WaterAid.

We’re proud to be members of the government’s 5% Club which recognises our commitment to have at least 5% of our employees from an apprentice or graduate background or in further learning.

Around 10% of our employees are currently taking part in long-term training and development.
