Processing Centre Administrator

Who are we?

Employing 350 people in Nailsea, we look after the customer journey on behalf our parent companies Bristol Water and Wessex Water. This includes everything from meter reading, billing and customer services. We are well known for our quality, award winning customer service and have recently been ranked 19th in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies.

The role

We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, confident, and motivated administrators within our Processing Centre at Pelican Business Services.

You will be responsible for managing high volume administrative tasks and for ensuring customers receive a great experience when they contact us.

As we are handling customer data, accuracy and attention to detail when updating our customer billing system is key. It is important we provide first class responses to provide first point of contact resolution, including by supporting the dedicated phoneline to give expert support to our customers.

A personal drive for self-development is important and within this, we would look for someone who embraces our coaching culture. We are always open to identifying potential changes to improve efficiency or enhance the customer journey.

About you

You will have proven experience in providing excellent customer service and are not afraid to pick up the phone and add that personal touch with our customers.

  • Ability to multitask is essential, with high attention to detail in a high-volume environment; you are highly driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including sharing best practices
  • A willingness to adapt and respond to change including making suggestions and process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and well-developed IT skills, particularly Word and Excel
    you will have the ability to problem solve and use your own initiative
