Wildlife at Bleadon Levels

North Somerset

Look out for an elusive otter or two as you wander around!

On a visit to the nature reserve, you may spot water voles who live in the drainage ditches. You may even see an elusive otter! Keep an eye out for their footprints in the mud or distinctive droppings - known as spraints.

Look out for brown hares - they live in various spots around the site but particularly in and around the neighbouring sewage treatment works.

Other wildlife to see as you explore the saltmarsh are various invertebrates, including ground beetles, specialist spiders and butterflies.
