Things to do
- Explore the natural world
- Go pond dipping
- Build a den
If you are visiting Ashford, you can expect to get your hands dirty!
You’ll need your wellies if you want to get into one of the three rivers on site or you might need a net to go pond dipping.
Afterwards you’ll head back to our education centre to investigate what you’ve found in the river or pond - this is the science bit!
You might take a walk around our reservoir and explore the natural beauty of the site, looking at habitats and how animals adapt to suit their environments.
You and your classmates could be building your own habitat - our den building activity encourages team building, problem solving skills and is a great excuse for some exercise too!
A visit to our Ashford site is also a good opportunity to tour our water treatment works.
