The Wessex Water Services Limited (Saltford Water Recycling Centre Extension) Compulsory Purchase Order 2023

On 13th March 2023 Wessex Water Services Limited (Wessex Water) made The Wessex Water Services Limited (Saltford Water Recycling Centre Extension) Compulsory Purchase Order 2023 under sections 155 of the Water Industry Act 1991 and relevant provisions of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the confirming authority) for confirmation and, if confirmed, the order will authorise Wessex Water to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of:

1. constructing extensions alterations and/or improvements to the existing Saltford Recycling Centre (SRC) to increase the Flow to Full Treatment capacity of the SRC
2. mitigating the adverse effects which the existence or use of the works proposed to be constructed altered and/or improved will have on the surroundings thereof
