Community Connectors join forces in Chippenham

Wessex Water is tapping into Chippenham with the launch of Community Connectors.

The water and sewerage company is working closely with individuals, groups and organisations on a two-year pilot project that aims to meet shared environmental and social goals in the town.

Stakeholders discussed issues relating to water, wastewater, society and the environment at a workshop at the Town Hall. Among those represented were local councils, emergency services, voluntary groups and charities.

Wessex Water will be in Emery Gate Shopping Centre this Saturday (19 November) to gather more views, so pop along between 10am and 2pm to have your say.

Karen Simpson, Community Connector Manager, said: “We want to work with a wide variety of stakeholders, voluntary organisations and members of the Chippenham community to rethink water in the town.

“It was fantastic to welcome many of them to our workshop and share ideas on the Community Connectors project. We look forward to meeting more people at Emery Gate on Saturday.”
