Fishing booking help

Bookings can be placed on the day. There is no requirement to book days in advance. Even if you want to decide when you arrive, you can still book over the phone or in person. 

Tuition bookings must be placed at least 48 hours before the advertised start date to ensure a coach and equipment is available.

You must have a valid booking before you start fishing.

A booking system allows us to prevent people from turning up to find there isn't a boat or peg available. 

All payments need to go through our booking system. Although there are different ways you can do this, we recommend using our online booking system.

Booking online is more secure and reduces the time staff must spend reconciling payments and other administration, leaving them freer to help anglers and care for our sites.

A booking system also lets us know how many people to expect and who is fishing, as well as enabling us to contact them should there be a problem.

If you create an account, you can easily make changes to your booking up to 48 hours before it starts.

If the change is within 48 hours of your booking or you do not have an account, please contact us (please see our contact details above).

You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours in advance by clicking the link in your confirmation email or signing into your account. When 48 hours’ notice is provided, we will issue a full refund, which may take up to 14 days to clear back into your account.

After this time, we do not offer full refunds. However, if you contact us (please see our contact details above), we can change the booking to another date.

Cancellations or no-shows on the day of your booking will not be refunded or amended.

We are unable to accept cash or cheque payments unless agreed upon in advance with a Ranger. We will only agree to take cash or cheques in exceptional circumstances.

Any cash or cheque payments must be made in person and received directly by a Ranger. We cannot accept cash being dropped through the returns box.

We understand that some visitors may wish to check the conditions on the day before they decide whether to fish. Therefore, day ticket anglers can book a place on the day, either online, over the phone or in person.

Boats must be booked prior to use. This can be done at the same time as booking your day ticket. 

Season ticket holders and those with books of tickets will need to book boats in advance. A discount code will be provided to remove the price of the day ticket which they have already paid for. 

Anglers can bring their own electric outboards to use on our fishing boats which do not have engines. There is no additional charge for this.

Have your booking reference available
You do not need to print anything, but you do need your reference, which is on your booking confirmation.

Complete the relevant permit in full
At our game fisheries, please put your declaration in the returns box before you begin and keep hold of the return card. Please remember two fish, five fish and season return cards are available as blanks, and a new one must be completed each visit. Books of tickets already have the returns within them.

Boat anglers must attend an in-person handover
The briefing will be held by a Ranger. Please arrive on time to allow time for this. If you are arriving after 10am, you must arrange the handover in advance, as our Rangers are not always in the lodge.

1. Ensure you have read and understood all safety information and rules for the fishery.
2. Write your name, booking reference and date on the catch return card.
3. Read and sign the declaration before dropping it in the box while holding onto the catch return card.
4. If you have booked a boat, please find the Ranger to confirm your boat and handover.
5. Take note of your catches on the return card throughout the day.
6. When you have finished, drop the card in the returns box.
