About the site

Located on the Blackdown Hills just south of Taunton, the lakes provide a range of habitats for wildlife and birds.

They are surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve, which is managed by the Otterhead Estate Trust on our behalf, that you can explore.

Exploring

Exploring the site is extremely peaceful, but please be aware that it can be marshy, narrow and steep in places.

Wildlife

The site consists of a variety of woodland, river and open water habitats which attract different types of wildlife.
