About the site

You will find the nature reserve just five miles south of Weston-super-Mare.

It spans 27 hectares and consists of various grassland and wetland habitats, including:

  • saltmarsh
  • tidal creek
  • reed beds
  • open freshwater lagoons.

Things to do

Exploring

You may see otters and hares while making your way along the footpath that goes around the nature reserve.

Wildlife

Try and spot ducks, waders and skylarks from our bird hides located at opposite ends of the lagoon.
