Fishing at Clatworthy Reservoir

Try your hand at fishing for rainbow and brown trout from a boat at Clatworthy Reservoir.

Important information

Boat fishing has returned

We are pleased to announce that we have reintroduced boats following a review of boat fishing at our fisheries.

About Clatworthy Reservoir

The reservoir offers some of the best fly fishing in the West Country. The temperature of the water can stay low into early summer, so it continues to fish well throughout the season.

The reservoir is well stocked with rainbow and brown trout sourced from two local fish farms. It also benefits from tanks which allow our rangers to stock more fish ahead of the season to offer some larger catches.

Fishing from a boat is popular at this reservoir – it is a great way to explore the many bays and arms on offer. The site is also renowned for its hard-fighting fish.
