Fishing at Hawkridge Reservoir

Hawkridge Reservoir provides a level of trout fishing to rival the best in the UK.

Important information

New ‘2 Fish Ticket’ introduced at Hawkridge

The current rod average at Hawkridge is below 1, which is why we’re introducing a limited-time ‘2 Fish Ticket’ at Hawkridge.

The reduced limit is so you can still enjoy a day’s fishing at a fair price, while catching fish is challenging.

The fish are less active and harder to catch due to the high temperatures we’re experiencing – the water temperature has now exceeded 23 degrees.

Boat fishing has returned

We are pleased to announce that we have reintroduced boats following a review of boat fishing at our fisheries.

About Hawkridge Reservoir

Despite its smaller size, the site offers some of the best trout fishing in the west country. If you favour smaller waters, it’s the perfect spot for you.

The reservoir is well stocked with sparctic, rainbow, brown, tiger, golden and blue trout – there are even some surprise double-figure specimens.

The venue responds well to floating lines and intermediates, with a variety of flies proving successful, including damsels, hare’s ears, montana and nymphs.
